Stillwater Area Football “Super 7″ – Editor’s & Fan’s Choice – Presented By Law Firm of Boettcher, Devinney, Ingle, & Wicker

EDITOR’S CHOICE

These are the top seven players in the Stillwater area hub, ranked by VYPE editors regardless of position.

# 1 Gabe Brown – ILB – Senior – Stillwater

With multiple DI offers on the table, Gabe Brown is one of the top linebackers in the state and will help Stillwater to another great season. Brown is the prototypical inside linebacker.

#2 Tyler Voss – RB/LB – Senior – Morrison

After rushing for nearly 2,000 yards in his junior season, Morrison’s Tyler Voss is looking to lead the Wildcats to another double-digit winning season. Voss had 34 TDs last season.

#3 Noah Townly – WR – Senior – Cleveland

A crafty wide receiver for the Tigers, Townly runs crisp routes and understands where the openings are in a defense. His speed allows him to make big gains with every reception.

#4 Gage Gundy – QB – Junior – Stillwater

Another gunslinger from the Gundy camp, Gage Gundy has the size and the arm to make a huge impact for the Pioneers this season. Expect Gundy to be a topic of conversation this fall.

#5 Gabe Martinez – SS – Senior – Cleveland

Martinez notched 99 tackles and two interceptions last year as a junior. The strong safety also forced one fumble. Martinez plays a fearless and aggressive brand of football.

#6 Barrett Stevenson – LB – Junior – Pawnee

This kid is a sideline-to-sideline linebacker who tackles with purpose. Look for Stevenson to thrive in the 4-2-5 scheme the Black Bears will utilize this season.

#7 Caden Hall – RB/S – Senior – Perry

Running back/safety Caden Hall was outstanding last year for the Maroons. His production at both positions made him a standout player and someone to watch this season.

FAN’S CHOICE

Based on fan voting in the Stillwater area hub, here are the top players at seven positions, as well as some runner-ups who are worth a mention.

OFFENSE

Quarterback: Gunnar Thrash – Perkins-Tryon

The senior quarterback will lead the Demon offense and will be looking to make a postseason run.

Wide Receiver/Tight End: Gannon McCutchen – Perkins-Tryon

A solid target with sure hands, McCutchen will be an impact player this season.

Running Back: Tyler Voss – Morrison

Voss is an outstanding hard-nosed running back.

Offensive Lineman: Charlie Gilbreath – Perry

Taking care of things on the front line will be the two year starter that has put in a lot of work in the offseason.

DEFENSE

Linebacker: Gabe Brown – Stillwater

Gabe is an outstanding young man and football player. He has amazing talent but he also is very humble. He’s incredibly driven to be the best that he can be.

Defensive Back: Caden Hall – Perry

Great Kid. Leader. Hard worker. The team will look to him to be a leader on the field.

Defensive Lineman: Tre Stevenson – Perkins-Tryon

The sophomore lineman will work hard to be a disruption to opponents.
