With three playoff wins in 2020, Clinton now has 124 playoff wins. The most in Oklahoma high school football history. Thomas is second with 111.

OFFENSE

After a 5-4 season, the Cleveland Tigers have a lot of upperclassmen returning for the 2021 season. The offense looks to bring back six starters from last year’s offense including Noah Townley (6-0, 180, Sr.) who played wide receiver for the Tigers, putting up 721 yards and 10 touchdowns, while averaging 18.5 yards per carry and 80 yards per game a year ago. He looks to improve those numbers even more going into his senior season. Quarterback Shain Hamilton (6-0, 165, Sr.) comes back after an impressive junior campaign. Hamilton threw for over 1,600 yards while throwing 19 touchdowns and rushing for nearly 300 yards and added in three rushing touchdowns. Running back Kaden Ready (5-7, 165, Sr.) will see his first season as a starter for the Tigers but is expected to produce immediately. The offensive line for the Tigers is very experienced. Wesley Stokes (5-11, 250, Sr.) is a three year starter for Cleveland, while Dylan Baker (6-2, 250, Jr.) and Jayden Underwood (6-4, 300, Sr.) are both starting in their second season.

DEFENSE

While the offense brought back six starters, the Tiger defense only brings back three. The new look Tiger defense might have new faces, but they do bring back one of their top defenders from 2020. Gabe Martinez (5-11, 175, Sr.) plays the safety position, and recorded 99 tackles, two interceptions, and one forced fumble during his junior season. At the outside linebacker position, Jalen Aguilar (5-10, 175, Sr.) comes into the season after having 77 tackles last season. Middle linebacker Jace Reed (6-2, 190, Sr.) attributed 30 tackles for the Tigers in 2020. Scott Kennedy (5-10, 165, So.) looks to start for the first time, but is a player that head coach Cy Stallard thinks can contribute immediately. Julius Garrett (6-2, 170, Jr.) has never started but did record six tackles and even had an interception as a sophomore. Coach Stallard thinks Wyatt Clark (5-11, 185, Sr.) can be a solid starter on the defensive line, after recording 13 tackles last season. There might be some thoughts about inexperience on the defensive end, but the Tigers have confidence that this defense can be very solid.
