Corridor Area Players To Watch – Presented By Ortho Oklahoma

Players to watch

Cheer

Caroline McCalip – Chandler

Caroline is the glue that holds the team together. She is an encourager, always on time and ready to get started, and leads by example. 

Tamara Moss – Mannford

Moss is an all around amazing cheerleader. She was selected as star tumbler at NCA Camp, as well as asked to apply for NCA Staff. Tamara is a leader and a team player. 

Cross Country

Kyler Kauk – Cleveland

Kauk qualified for the state meet last year and expects to return again this year. He has the experience and has prepared himself well for this season. 

Mazee Southward – Cleveland

Mazee  has a solid running background, and her off-season training has her primed for a big season. She is expected to have a big season.

Kaden Eyler – Cushing

Eyler is a senior athlete who plays football, runs track and cross country, and power lifts. He also attends career tech, a National Honor Society member, HOSA member, and plans to go into the medical field. 

Lydon Swafford – Mannford

Lydon will be a sophomore this year. Last season he placed 11th at the regional meet and placed 27th at the State meet as a freshman.

Peyton Carson – Mannford

Last year as a freshman, Carson was a 4A regional champion and finished sixth at the State meet with a time of 12:17. Looking for big things this season.

Riley Randall – Meeker

Riley is a two-time All-Stater and the defending Class 3A State Champion from last season. 

Underclassmen to Watch

Cheer

Makayela Dawkins – Chandler

A solid member of the team, Dawkins is a great teammate on and off the field. 

Maria Reyna – Mannford

Reyna is a great kid and a really good cheerleader. She is always ready to help however needed.

Cross Country

Connor Davidson – Cleveland

Davidson looks to have a big season this year. Worked hard in the offseason to prepare. 

Kaylee Hillis – Cleveland

An all around great kid, Kaylee excels on the field and in the classroom.

Braxton Bussell – Meeker

Davidson is a hard worker and always gives it his best. 

Unsung Heroes

Cheer

Emi McGuire – Chandler

McGuire is dependable and always ready to do whatever is needed.

Kaylee Smith – Mannford

She is an amazing cheerleader and is a great example for others. 

Cross Country

Shawn Metzer – Cleveland

Whether it is in competition or in the classroom, Metzer focuses on being his best. 

Asa Watham – Meeker

A hard worker, Asa is a strong competitor.
