Perkins-Tryon’s Hunter Robinson – Athlete Spotlight – Presented By Perkins Primary Care

Perkins-Tryon High School senior Hunter Robinson returns to the field as a starting wide receiver and safety. The two-way starter is ready to see what he and his teammates can accomplish this year. With great chemistry and a solid game plan from head coach Dawayne Hudson, the Demons are ranked in the Top 10 of Class 3A coming into the season.

“The friendship we all share as a team is incredible as is the work ethic from everyone. Looking forward to seeing the hard work we all have put in pay off this year,” said Robinson.

During the off-season Robinson said he worked on a lot of things to help his team succeed including his ability to get open in the passing game.

“This off-season I have worked on route running and catching the most,” said Robinson.

As one of the go-to receivers in the passing game, Robinson said he wants to be dependable and make plays when his number is called. His play at wide receiver will help open things up for the running game as coach Hudson looks to put his physical style of play on display. Robinson will be part of the air assault for the Demons in a big way. But he admits seeing his teammates have success of the field is a great feeling.

“The feeling of watching my friends lay everything on the line to accomplish the same goal as me is just unbelievable,” said Robinson.

This winter you can catch Robinson on the wrestling mat once again giving it all he has for the Demon wrestling team and this spring he will take his talents to the golf course. After he graduates, Robinson plans to work in the HVAC field. In his free time, Robinson said he enjoys playing guitar with his friends.
