OFFENSE
First year head coach Neal Bacon is joined by assistants Chris Green and Jim Pothorst. This season the Bulldogs want to do a little bit of everything offensively with eight starters being replaced on offense and look for new players to emerge and make an impact Walker Whitsett (6-0, 185, Jr.) and Logan Britton (5-10, 260, So.) bring experience back on the offensive line. Britton started every game as a freshman and is an accomplished powerlifter that can develop into a solid prospect at the next level. Brothers, quarterback Cornelius Prather (5-10, 150, Jr.) and running back Caymon Prather (5-10, 140, So.), bring speed to the Bulldog offense. Wide receiver Jesse Poole (6-1, 145, Jr.) can find gaps in the secondary and make guys miss. Tight end Sammy Reece (5-11, 190, Sr.) is a do-it-all player that appears on offense and defense. Wherever Reece appears on the field, know that he’s going to make an impact.
DEFENSE
The Bulldogs are going to play into their aggressive nature on defense in 2022. They’ll switch up coverages but bring four down linemen and extra pressure to keep offenses uncomfortable. Reece, Julien Rolland (5-11, 170, Jr.), and Kyle Adair (5-10, 175, Sr.) will be edge rushers this season and look to use their quick first steps to burst off the line and stop plays before they develop. Wyatt White (5-9, 260, Sr.) is a veteran nose tackle that can clog running lanes in a hurry and Britton will play on both offensive and defensive lines after a stellar freshman year along with Caymon Prather who will make appearances at linebacker. The Bulldogs want to use their size up front to slow down offenses and use their speed in the second line of defense to make plays and force turnovers.
