Coach: Wade Wright
21-22 Record: 15-7
If early practices are any indication of what to expect this coming season, head coach Wade Wright has reason to be excited. “Woodland has two returning starters and one coming back from injury. We had a good summer and coaches are optimistic about this teams chemistry. Will be a fun group to coach,” said coach Wright.
Aidan Rhodes (6-3, Sr.) will lead Woodland on the floor this year. Rhodes has continued to make improvements to his game in the offseason. “Aidan Rhodes is a returning starter who has the potential to have a standout senior season. Offseason weights and spending time in the gym has helped Aidan better himself on the court,” said coach Wright.
Trey Bennett (So.) is an exciting young player Woodland will lean on this season for quality minutes. Bennett started last season as a freshman. “Trey has the ability to score and find the open players and led the team in assists last year,” said coach Wright.
Hayden Nicholson (Sr.) could be the X-factor for Woodland. Nicholson will return to his guard position after battling back from in injury. “Hayden is a talented player and is healthy; he will be an important part of our team,” said coach Wright. Kameron Britton (So.) has made tremendous strides since his freshman season.
“Kameron has worked hard in the off season and had a good summer. We are expecting good things this year,” said Wright. Also look for Abel Reyes (Jr.) at guard. Reyes can play both ends of the floor very well and is expected to have a solid season. Aaron Gray (Sr.) will play the post and is one of the hardest workers on the team.
