Coach: Daniel Brimmer
21-22 Record: 16-10
The Tigers registered sixteen wins last season as their playoff run ended in regionals. But a new season brings new hope and excitement and head coach Daniel Brimmer likes the chemistry of his team and the improvements they have made over the summer. “We return four of our top eight from last year,” Brimmer stated. “And we return two solid starters in Dylan Baker and Josh McEntire. Baker and McEntire are healthy and will be our senior leaders. We will be counting on two juniors to help lead the backcourt. Undersized Dray Curtis can fill it up in a hurry and Cody Sizemore will have the ball in his hands a lot at the point, but he is a tough and strong defender that can get to the rim. We’ll need some depth to fill out the rest but Broc Decou, Kyzer Tull, and Quentin Wills had a good summer of growth.”
Josh McEntire (6-5, Sr.) averaged 12 points and 5.0 rebounds per contest last season. McEntire will be a force on offense for the Tigers. Another leader on the team will be Dylan Baker (6-3, Sr.), who is coming off an eight- month knee injury that forced him to miss the entire football season. He is a team leader on and off the court and he is ready to give it his all in his final high school season.
Playing guard, Dray Curtis (5-8, Jr.) has worked hard this offseason and will look to be a bigger contributor this season. He tallied five points per game and two assists last season. He is a great kid on the court, in the classroom, and throughout the school. After a four points per game average last season, Cody Sizemore (5-9, Jr.) is ready to have a breakthrough season and be an impact player for the Tigers. Assisting Brimmer this season will be Nate Folger and Ron Ward.
