Coach: Bob Weckstein 

21-22 Record: 12-15 

The Frontier Mustangs are just a couple of years removed from backto-back trips to the state tournament in 2017 and 2018. But after going 12-15 last season they are looking to make a return trip this season. Head coach Bob Weckstein, who is in his 33rd season leading the Mustangs, says that he is hopeful for this upcoming season, and he does like the makeup of his team.

“I would say that I am optimistic about this season,” Weckstein stated. “We are returning four starters from last season, and we also have very talented sophomore and freshman classes.”

Allen Jones (6-0, So.) is back after averaging 10.1 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.0 assists last season, while also totaling 34 total steals. He will have a large impact on the Mustang’s season. Derek Bible (5-9, Sr.) gives outstanding effort anytime he is on the court, and he also possess great leadership skills. Last season saw him average 4.0 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 2.1 assists and he will work to increase those numbers this season.

A force in the post position will be Allen Brown (6-7, Sr.). He tallied twenty-four blocked shots last season, and he has worked hard in the off season and should continue to cause problems for opposing offenses. Noah Buffalohead (6-0, Jr.), Avery Butler (5-9, So.), and Terrence Hall (5-11, So.) combined for 16.9 points, ten rebounds, and 27 steals and they are going to be called on to play bigger parts this season.

Other players to watch for this season are Aiden Ariwite (6-0, Jr.), Clarkson Howe (6-0, Jr.), Braden Bledsoe (6-0, So.), Diego Hernandez (5-9, So.), Trey Shotton (5-11, So.), Brice Bledsoe (6-0, Fr.), Drake Butler (6-1, Fr.), Ethan Butler (5-9, Fr.), Kolton Ingmire (5-8, Fr.), Keaton Morales (5- 10, Fr.), Christian Plumley (5-10, Fr.), John Pratt (5-8, Fr.), Joseph Soutte (5-11, Fr.), and Elijah Tohee (5-9, Fr.). Assistant coaches on Weckstein’s staff will be Tom Butler, Miles Bender, and Chris Plumley.
