VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
Isabella: I got into wrestling in my junior year of high school. I had always wanted to wrestle but didn’t think I could but when Perry made a girl’s team my mom talked to the coach and forced me to go the next day to practice. Initially, I was scared but stepping into that wrestling room changed my life tremendously and I am forever grateful.
VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?
Isabella: A professional wrestler that I look up to is Tamyra Mensah-Stock. She is such a talented and passionate wrestler, who is also humble.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Isabella: My sport has taught me to make myself do hard things in my daily life because once you do things that challenge you it makes you feel accomplished.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Isabella: I am passionate about my sport because it makes me push myself past my limits and makes other things in life easier.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Isabella: My favorite part about being on a team is the support you have for each other.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Isabella: The teammate that has left the biggest impression on me is Lyndey Wilda. We have been best friends since kindergarten and I encouraged her to wrestle this summer. It has been crazy to see how much she has improved in such a short period of time and she pushes me to be a better wrestler each time we practice.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Isabella: If I could go anywhere on a summer vacation it would be a European trip to Italy, France, and Switzerland. I think it would be fun to take a bunch of my friends with me.
VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?
Isabella: My all-time favorite meal would be cheese pizza and alfredo pasta.
VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.
Isabella: I would like to thank my coaches Brian Wilson and Kevin Owen for teaching me how to push myself into being a better wrestler. I’d also like to thank all of my teammates, as well as my family, for being there for me.
