VYPE recently had a chat with Stillwater’s Graham Condley.
VYPE: What sports do you play?
Condley: Soccer.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Condley: My favorite part about being on a team would be the fun times my teammates and I have, but also how we come together in the low times and keep working together.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Condley: I love everything that comes with soccer, the competitive side of it, the nerves, and playing in front of a crowd are just a few. It’s all so much fun.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?
Condley: I would say my favorite teacher is Mrs. West. I had her in 8th grade for advanced English and I have her again this year for advanced English as well. The way she teaches is my favorite out of anyone. She is always calm and understanding. She makes sure we all understand the material at all times. I really like her.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Condley: I know you said summer vacation, but I have never been snow skiing before and I really want to do that so that’s what I would say. I would bring my closest friends with me.
VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?
Condley: I was about 4 years old and my dad brought me into the sport.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
Condley: I would say my favorite part about representing my high school would be seeing all of the other high school students that come to the games in the stands supporting us. I love the atmosphere in every high school game.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Condley: “You don’t have to care about what others think of you, what they think does not matter, do not let it affect you”.
VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?
Condley: I am involved with my church a lot. I go to Sunday services and Wednesday night services. I also go on many mission trips. I am also a part of the Beta Club.
