STILLWATER PIONEERS
GIRLS
Coach: Marcus Klingsick
22-23 Record: 8-16
In their second season under head coach Marcus Klingsick, the Lady Pioneers look to be much improved. Klingsick says that changes to the district along with his team’s improvement should result in a better season. “We will rely on several key returning veterans meshed with several sophomores,” he said. “We are looking forward to the new district system. Our team has really improved its shooting in the offseason and has also really improved our defense in the last year. We are really looking forward to the season.” One key returner will be shooting guard Aspen Clarkson (5-10, Sr.). Coach Klingsick says that Clarkson is an outstanding basketball player and will have a big impact on the team’s success. “Aspen is an all-around great player,” the coach said. “She has to be one of the best drivers in Oklahoma high school basketball. She has really improved her outside shooting. I think she has a
chance to be one of the best players in class 6A basketball.” Macey Streeter (5-8, Sr.) will be at point guard. She is a solid athlete and an outstanding team player. Another player seeing time at point guard will be Cameron Lang (5-4, So.). Both Streeter and Lang are solid ball handlers and will keep the offense flowing. The duo of Jaylee Christian (6-3, Sr.) and Reagan Bell (5-10, Fr.) will maintain things under the goal in the post. They have both worked hard in the offseason and they will make their presence felt this season. A player to keep an eye on this season will be Ella Robinson (5-10, So.). While just a sophomore, she is expected to see some key time this season.
