Kellyville Ponies Girls Basketball Preview – Presented by C&T Land Management

Coach: Taylor Todd

21-22 Record: 11-15

The Lady Ponies advanced to the area round of the basketball playoffs last season but are looking to go further this season. Head coach Taylor Todd says that the team is young but also brings back experience, which could make for a solid season. “We have three returning All-Conference players,” Todd said. “We are very young after that. We have a very fast and athletic group of girls.”

Toni McGuire (Jr.) is an outstanding leader on and off the court for the team and a versatile player. She could score twenty-five points or get twenty-five rebounds in a game. She will play a big impact on the team this season.

Another key player for Kellyville this season is going to be Camryn Harwood (Sr.). She is the glue to the team. She is a very positive player and a huge inspiration to all of the younger players. Josalyn Byrom (Sr.) is a very dedicated player. She has so much passion for the game and is a great leader for the team.

Other members of the team that will look to make an impact on the season are Nevaeh Blaes (Fr.), Alli Volner (So.), Kylar Goins (Jr.), Madelyn Powers (So.), Kandis Smith (Jr.), Aidan Cargil (So.), Teagan Neal (Fr.), Hailey Dye (Sr.), Lillian Butler (So.), Lilly Fairson (So.), Montana Horacek (Fr.), Gabby Warnock (Jr.), and Morgan Kreps (Fr.). The assistant coaches for Kellyville this season are Samantha Fields and Perry Sebring.
