Coach: JOSH PRESLEY
10-3
OFFENSE
The Tigers are coming off a solid season that saw them advance to the Class A quarterfinals. Looking forward to the experience that they have coming back this season, head coach Josh Presley is ready to get the season rolling. “We look to improve upon our 2022 season,” Presley said. We return eight starters on offense and nine on defense. We have good overall team speed. On offense, we look to stretch the defense horizontally with the run game and stretch the defense vertically with our pass game. We always want to establish the run game and utilize the play-action pass game. On defense, we want to play fast and physical. We have had a good offseason and we’re excited for the 2023 season.” Returning to play quarterback will be Dylan Baker (5-10, 160, Jr.), who had 975 passing yards and sixteen touchdown passes. The Tigers have a stable of running backs that can move the ball and find the end zone. Fullback Kason Presley (6-3, 220, Jr.) and running backs Bryce Collins (5-10, 150, Sr.), Jessen Leathers (5-10, 195, So.), and Jacob Beck (6-0, 180, So.) combined for 3,014 yards on the ground and 45 touchdowns. Brady Nighols (6-0, 190, Sr.) will be playing at tight end.
DEFENSE
Lining up at linebacker will be Trystan Baker (5-11, 180, So.). After registering 85 tackles last year, he will look to make a big impact again this season. Monitoring the secondary and ready to shut down the opponent’s passing game will be Cameron Stewart (5-8, 150, Sr.), who had four interceptions and two defensive touchdowns last year. Peyton Gaylord (6-0, 250, Sr.), Leo Neuman (6-0, 230, Jr.), and Ty Stafford (6-0, 225, Jr.) will lock down things on the defensive line.
