Every athlete at every level shares one thing in common. They want to be successful at their sport and be the best they can be when it is time to compete. Nina Glass knows that hard work is an important part of being successful, but that is not the only part. 

“You have to be willing to work hard and be dedicated in order to be your best,” she said. “You also have to be able to learn what your weaknesses are and work past them. Working to achieve your goals in your daily life as well.”

Glass is a freshman and a multisport athlete at Blackwell High School. She plays softball, basketball, and runs track for the Maroons. Away from sports, she is also the freshman class vice president for the student council. 

Throughout her life, Nina has had a number of people that have been influential to her life. But she does have one that has played a big role in her success. 
 “One of my biggest role models is my teammate Brooklyn Ray,” Glass said. “She is always encouraging me and provides me with positive support in softball and even other aspects in my life. One of teammates that I like to practice with is Lexi. We compete and work hard to better each other.”

Whenever she has some down time, Nina enjoys checking out her social media. Out of all the people she follows, there is one whose content she enjoys the most.
 “Coach Nic with Be Competitive Athletics,” Glass said. “She posts videos that help me with pitching and the mental part of the game.”

Along with wanting to be successful, Glass says that there are other things she enjoys as well. 
 “Learning new skills and seeing myself improve from hard work and dedication is really great and motivates me to keep working hard.”

When she is not competing or practicing, Nina says that she enjoys to spend time with her family and tries to be a role model for her little sister.
