Frontier High School sophomore Ali Sneath is a multi-sport athlete, playing both softball and basketball. In softball, Ali plays first base. She is no stranger to sports, having “played these sports my whole life.”
In terms of what motivates her to play sports, Ali did not hesitate to answer. Ali explained,
“My motivations are both my teammates, and the love of the game.”
When asked who her biggest supporters has been, Ali cites more than one person. Ali stated, “One of my biggest supporters is my hitting coach Hailey. She has been there with suggestions to help get me to where I am today. She has always had confidence in my hitting and expected the best out of me. My travel ball and school ball coaches have also sacrificed a lot of time and given me a lot of advice.”
Asked what it has taken to have become successful in sports, Ali stated, “To be successful in softball, it takes a lot of extra time and work.”
In regards as to some of her favorite teammates, Ali explained, “I enjoy working with my teammates Bonnie, Kye, and KK. After practice we put in extra work and they are who push me to get better.”
Many student athletes have a favorite athlete that they enjoy watching play sports. For Ali, “My favorite NCAA player is Tiare Jennings, softball player of the University of Oklahoma Sooners. She’s my favorite player, because she has confidence in herself and she is a great player and teammate.”
In terms of a favorite memory of her student athletic career thus far, Ali recalled, “One of the biggest highlights in softball was making it to the state tournament with my team.”
In addition to playing softball and basketball, Ali is a member of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and Student Council.
After Ali graduates from high school, she plans on pursing higher education. Ali stated, “I want to go to college and play softball while in college.”
