PLAYERS TO WATCH
Boys Basketball
Charlie Lux – Blackwell
The senior has been a solid basketball player for the Maroons throughout his career and looks to have a solid season this year.
Noah Buffalohead and Allen Jones – Frontier
Noah is a solid athlete and an outstanding defensive player that is able to create his own shot. Allen is an inside and outside threat and a strong player. Both will play key roles for Frontier this season.
Tay Moore – Ponca City
Tay is an exceptional athlete that can use his speed, bounce, and strength to finish tough baskets at the rim. He keeps defenses on their toes because he can knock down shots from distance at a high level as well. His natural gifts also make highly effective on the defensive end, putting pressure on ball handlers and cutting through passing lanes.
Ryan Morgan – Tonkawa
Morgan is a hard working and tough athlete. He will look to be a big contributor this season.
Trey Bennett – Woodland
After a strong offseason, Bennett is looking to be a leader on the court this year.
Girls Basketball
Kellyn Botts – Blackwell
Botts is a hard worker and a great teammate. She does whatever it takes for her team to be successful.
Tayton Voegele – Newkirk
Tayton works hard and leaves it all on the court. She will be the leader on the court this season for the Tigers.
Kyra Allison – Ponca City
Kyra has started since her freshman year. She is an athletic player with the ability to score from anywhere on the court.
Whitley Johnson – Tonkawa
She is a force on the court and will be an important part of the Lady Buccaneers success this season.
UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH
Boys Basketball
Christian Plumley and Ethan Butler – Frontier
The duo of Plumley and Butler will look to make an impact on the floor this season for the Mustangs.
Jaxon Dugosh – Ponca City
Jaxon is a great athlete with incredible instincts. This makes him a strong defender for opposing guards. His high energy gives him plenty of opportunities on the offensive glass, as well as leading to chances for him to lead the break off of defensive rebounds.
Girls Basketball
Henley Hembree – Tonkawa
Henley is a point guard who has a good shot and ability to get to the basket. She is constantly working and improving and coaches are excited to get her on the court this year.
