Kaytum: Basketball
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Kaytum: Basketball has taught me self-discipline, work ethic, and leadership.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Kaytum: My favorite part about being on the team is the relationships I’ve gained with my teammates and coaches.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Kaytum: I’ve always had a love for basketball since a young age. I love competing and challenging myself to grow as an athlete and working hard to achieve my goals.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Kaytum: Emma Gertken (a senior last year) has had the biggest impact throughout my freshman and sophomore years. She is a positive role model on and off the court, has a great work ethic, and has always encouraged and supported me in many ways.

Kaytum: I would like to give a shout-out to my mom for always being there for me and supporting me in everything I do.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
Kaytum: My favorite part is being a good role model for the kids in our community and someone they can look up to.
VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
Kaytum: My favorite memory would be my first start at home, my freshman year, against Choctaw.
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Kaytum: The best advice I have gotten is to be respectful, use integrity, and work hard to be successful in everything you do.
