Ponca volleyball player Taylor Otto spoke to VYPE in a recent interview.
VYPE: What are your personal goals for the year?
My goal for the year is to try my best in every match I play no matter who we are going against.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Allison Edward’s, she is always there for anyone that needs her. She has been there for me with a hug whenever I feel like I have done bad after a game. Allie is one of the best people I have ever met through sports!
VYPE: What is your favorite part of being on this team?
My favorite part is making memories with the best people. With each sport I have played I enjoy meeting new friends.
VYPE: Do you participate in any community service projects?
I have helped serve friendship feast for my church.
VYPE: What Clubs or Campus groups are you involved with and why?
I am apart of St. Mary’s youth group and the Ponca City FFA which I help with petting zoos and other activities.
VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Sports have taught me hard work and dedication, I have made a lot of friends through sports that I talk to everyday!
VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?
Never stop trying
VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
My parents inspire me to be the best version of myself. They will try to be at every tournament I have and cheer me on.
