Blackwell Maroons Basketball Preview – Presented By Stillwater Medical Blackwell

Boys
Coach: Terril Hankins
20-21 Record: 1-18

The Maroons are coming off of a rough season a year ago. After only tallying one win, they enter this season ready to improve and make a splash this season. Head coach Terril Hankins, who is in his fifth season leading the team, is excited about what his team brings to the table this season. “We have a young and talented team,” Hankins said. “We will be very skilled at the guard position, so that will be a strong position for us.” Leading the team this season will be Charlie Lux (5-10, So.), who played over 400 minutes as a freshman last year. He is also the only returning starter back from last year. Another big-time player for the Maroons this season will be Kevin Rios (6-1, Fr.). He brings big expectations and should make an immediate impact this year. Skylar Landwehr (6-2, Jr.) is the team’s top defender and rebounder from last season and he will be called upon to continue that role this season. Sean Lucino (5-11, Sr.) is a transfer from Ripley that should give an instant boost to this team. Kam Ingram is a high character kid who has persevered through many things personally and he will be an outstanding part of the team.
