OFFENSE
Long-time head coach Cory Bales enjoyed a very successful season in 2020 going 11-3 and earning a trip to the quarterfinals in Class A. With seven starters returning to the offense, coach Bales is ready to see what this group can accomplish coming off the success of last season. Tyler Voss (6-2, 210, Sr.) rushed for 1,961 yards with 34 touchdowns last season and was named to the VYPE Top 100 this summer. Jared Harmon (6-4, 195, Sr.) will quarterback the Wildcats again after throwing for 1,200 yards and adding 450 yards on the ground. Scotty Flanagan (6-0, 200, Jr.) remains at fullback where his powerful running can help move the chains. On the line look for Harley Goldman (6-2, 225, Sr.) to start at guard giving the unit up front some much needed experience. Rocky Woods (6-1, 170, Sr.) could develop into the X-factor for the passing game this season. Woods made 16 receptions last year but look for those numbers to increase as the offense works in more play-action pass.
DEFENSE
Seven starters are back for the Wildcat defense, many of whom are starters on the offensive side of the ball as well. The Wildcats will base in the 4-4 giving guys like Voss the ability to roam free and make plays. Voss leads a talented group of linebackers, but look for guys like Harmon and Goldman to make impacts from their defensive line positions.
