PLAYERS TO WATCH
SOFTBALL
Adi Peetoom – Blackwell
Peetoom is an outstanding athlete with a high softball IQ. She is a great role model for the younger players and will have a big impact on the season.
Jamie Molina – Frontier
Jamie is a senior catcher. She has a strong arm behind the plate but has the ability to step out and play any position on the field. She also has a solid batter that can hit for power.
Karli Wehunt – Shidler
Karli is a great teammate and leader. She leads the team in all categories offensively and is effective in the circle with good movement on the ball and also solid defensively. She makes the tough plays and has the arm to throw runners out.
Taillynn Burch – Woodland
Taillynn is an extremely hard-working kid who has grown leaps and bounds in the last two years. Heading into her junior year, she will be a great player and looks to have an outstanding player.
UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH
FOOTBALL
Eyzic Burke – Blackwell
He has really grown this off-season. He had a lot of playing experience in his freshman year last season.
Hudson Haas – Ponca City
Started all ten games at defensive end as a sophomre. He has put on about fifteen pounds of muscle in the off-season and is really athletic. Smart kid that will play at the next level.
Trey Bennett – Woodland
Trey is a special player that will grab your attention when you watch him compete. He is a fearless leader and relentless competitor. He plays strong safety, quarterback, and wide receiver and should have a big season.
SOFTBALL
Aly Sneath and Kylee Ruff – Frontier
Aly has high expectations with her powerful bat. Kylee will be the lead pitcher while also spending time in the outfield. She is a great Utility with speed. Expect both to be big contributors with their bats and game IQ.
Abbi Godfrey – Shidler
Abbi works hard all the time to improve her game. She’s a good teammate and leader and hits the ball solid and also effective in the circle with a good change of speeds. Defensively she has the range to make plays in the middle infield.
Lola Kennedy – Woodland
Lola started every game of her freshman year at third base and eventually worked into the leadoff spot. She’s a good young player with an extremely bright future.
UNSUNG HEROES
SOFTBALL
Kaidence Jefferson – Frontier
Jefferson is a sophomore that plays second base and centerfield. She is a switch hitter with great speed and is also aggressive when on the bases. She can bunt, hit, bunt for a hit, slap and can cover a ton of ground defensively.
Kaley Floyd – Shidler
Kaley is always positive and cheering on the other girls. She is great at first base and will do whatever it takes for her team.
Kirsten Hutchison – Woodland
Kirsten is a constant behind the plate. She gained the starting job midway through her freshman year and has not looked back.
