Q&A with Yale’s Conner Elliott – Presented By Indian Electric Cooperative

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Conner: I would definitely be taking all my boys to Hawaii with me, super pretty tropical paradise.


Who is your favorite teacher?

Conner: Coach Moore, being that he is also my coach, he pushes me the hardest in every aspect of my life.


VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Conner: Growing up my dad was always a super dad. He was always a super big sports fan and we would go to every high school game, it didn’t matter if it was football or basketball we were there.


VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Conner: I’ve grown up my whole life playing sports, they have always been a way for me to separate myself from society.


VYPE: Which professional athlete do you look up to and why?

Conner: Kobe Bryant, his work ethic was unlike anybody else’s in the world, he was living proof that in order to achieve greatness you need to put in the work.


VYPE: Who inspires you and why?

Conner: Every one of my teammates inspires me every day. In a class or in practice, they are always there for me.


VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Conner: PJ Reece has left the biggest impression on me, he has taught me to be the best leader I can be for the guys on the court with me, and he’s also taught me how to be the best player I can be.


VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use daily?

Conner: Nothing comes easy, if you want something in your life you need to work for it.


VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Conner: Knowing that everyone has your back at all times no matter what.
