Two-sport athlete and Stillwater High School junior Jade Gosney is a member of the varsity golf team in the spring and a member of the varsity volleyball team in fall.
“I play golf and volleyball for the Pioneers. I’m a setter/middle in volleyball. I am a member of SMAC and Beta club,” said Gosney.
The junior is an active student-athlete and loves being around her team and teammates, regardless of the sport. She also loves being in the classroom. Her favorite subject is math, but Gosney said she takes all her classes seriously.
“My favorite subject is math, and my favorite teacher is Mr. Klingsick because he is super helpful and always tells us jokes,” said Gosney. “Academics are important to me because making good grades will help me be successful and achieve my goals in the future.”
Gosney said her parents have been a big influence in her life and she is thankful for their encouragement and support.
“My parents are the biggest influence in my life because they are always pushing me to be my best and are always supportive in everything I do,” said Gosney.
With another year of high school ahead, Gosney is considering her options for life after high school. For now, she is focused on helping the Stillwater golf team and finishing her junior year strong.
“I haven’t decided where I’m going yet, but I plan to attend college and pursue a degree in the medical field,” said Gosney.
In her free time Gosney said she enjoys playing golf, fishing, reading and playing club volleyball.
