Stillwater’s Kade Stevens – Stillwater Area Spotlight Presented by Law Firm of Boettcher, Devinney, Ingle and Wicker

Stillwater High School junior Kade Stevens has played soccer basically his whole life. Along the way, he has had someone in his corner encouraging him and helping him develop important skills.

“I’d say my biggest influence is definitely my brother,” said Stevens. “He’s taught me so much and makes me better every time I train with him.”

Stevens’ coach at Stillwater High has also been a large influence in the athlete’s life.

“My favorite teacher is Seth Condley,” he said. “Not only is he my coach, but he’s taught me so much as a young man and an upcoming adult.”

The Pioneers’ goalkeeper also credits his teammates saying that he wouldn’t be where he is today without them. His favorite moment in his soccer career was one he shared with them.

“I’ve had a few highlights. But I’d say winning the Stillwater Cup is my best memory,” he said. “Sharing that with my teammates is the best memory.”

Stevens, who is also am involved with orchestra and the disc golf club at school, has a simple philosophy when it comes to finding success on the field.

“Hard work and dedication,” he said. “You can’t be lazy. You have to put the extra work in.”
