OFFENSE

“We have great leadership from the top down on this team. The standard is high and our guys will do whatever it takes to be successful. Our ‘team-first’ mentality is something we hang our hat on. Our team has great chemistry and brotherhood. They buy into our program and everything we preach to them, our tradition and being physical and tough,” said head coach Casey Goad. “We return seven on both sides of the ball. We will be very talented in our skill positions and linebacking core and strong on the offensive line. Last seasons quarterfinal run was not the standard for these young men. They are motivated and hungry for more.” Leading the offense is quarterback Aidan Rhodes (6-4, 180, Sr.). Last year he had 1,278 passing yards, 1,117 rushing yards, 212 carries, and 37 total touchdowns. His top targets will include Nathan Bouchard (5-11, 200, Sr.), Jackson Rhodes (6-4, 180, Jr.), and Abel Reyes (5-10, 200, Jr.). Last season Bouchard, “tough as nails” according to his coach, had 217 carries for 1,059 yards and 13 touchdowns. Rhodes had 521 total yards and six touchdowns and will be a mismatch with his large frame and rangy athleticism. Sophomores Trey Bennett (6-4, 180) and Dray Long (5-7, 155) will be assets as well. Bennett is a relentless competitor that will grab your attention when you watch him compete.

DEFENSE

Jackson Rhodes, Bouchard, and Bennett will be key elements on both sides of the ball. Altogether they accumulated 301 tackles, six forced fumbles, five interceptions, and three sacks, just to list some of the work they put in the backfield. Chase Bowman (6-2, 165, Jr.) will be another one to watch for at defensive back. On the line, Zane Brock (6-0, 215, Sr.) and Jordan McConnell (5-10, 240, Sr.) will be heavily relied upon.
