VYPE: What grade are you in and what sports do you play?

Emery: I am a junior at Perry High School. I play softball, basketball, and I run track. 

VYPE: What motivates you?

Emery: My friends and family, and I’m very competitive.

VYPE: Who are some of your biggest influences or role models? 

Emery: My mom is my biggest role model because she taught me to not care what people think and to do your best.

VYPE: What teacher has had the biggest impact on your life? 

Emery: Coach Pralle has had the biggest impact on my life because she always finds a way to cheer me up and listens to me when I need to talk to someone.

VYPE: What has it taken to be successful in your sports?

Emery: Days of hard work and determination.

VYPE: What has been the highlight moment of your career?

Emery: Making it to state in the 100 meter.

VYPE: Which teammate do you enjoy working against the most with in practice?

Emery: Kennedy Hight because she always pushes me.

VYPE: What clubs and campus activities are you involved with?

Emery: The National Honor Society.

VYPE: What does it mean to you to represent your school and community when you play?

Emery: It feels me with pride and joy and makes me feel like i’m making a difference in my community.
