According to Alva athlete Campbell Gaisford the best part of being on the football team is that “we are a very young and athletic team and it’s just really fun to be around them.” And together, when the team beats Chisholm, those memories are among his favorite.
As the start of the season approaches Gaisford aims “to be the best player I can possibly be and to help my team out however I can.” In fact, in the last year Gaisford told VYPE “the most fun I’ve had was being able to grow as and athlete and compete at different levels with my teammates.”
Off the field Gaisford is very involved at Alva High. Participating in Key Club and 4-H he is also a member of the Student Council, National Honor Society, and National Technical Honor Society. Also serving his community alongside his youth group though his volunteer efforts.
