Perry’s Jose Tiscareno – Athlete Spotlight – Presented By Stillwater Medical in Perry

Perry High School sophomore Jose Tiscareno is one athlete that head baseball coach Weston Ward says is an underclassman to watch. Tiscareno is highly motivated to become the best all-around player he can be.

Tiscareno has played baseball for a decade, currently playing second base and pitching for the Maroons. He first became interested after growing up watching his brothers play and developing a love for the sport. He is appreciative of his family as a whole, looking up to his brothers and his parents as well.

“My parents are my biggest role models,” he said. “They both work really hard and have done so much for me my whole life.”

Tiscareno recalls his biggest standout moment so far during his time on the baseball field.

“My favorite memory playing baseball was hitting my first home run during a championship game,” he said.

Tiscareno understands the importance of having a great team and he values that above all else.

“My teammates mean a lot to me, we all work hard together and try to achieve the goals we set before the season,” he said. “The best part about playing sports in high school is competing and working hard every day with my teammates.”

After high school Tiscareno plans to continue his baseball career and education on a collegiate level.
