Success is something that almost everyone strives for in an area of their life. But it is not something that is just handed out, it has to be earned. Morgan Dolezal knows what it takes to be her best and she has had someone in her life that has been a great example of that.
“It has taken a lot of time and dedication for me to get where I am,” she said. “My sister is someone that I look up to because she is the true definition of striving for what you want and never giving up on your goals.”
Morgan is in her senior year at Perry High School where she is a member of the tennis team. She is also a member of the Future Farmers of America, Student Council, the National Honor Society, and the Perry Lions Club.
Along with all the work she puts in, Dolezal also says that she has a great support system around her to help her stay on track when things get tough.
“My biggest motivators are encouraging coaches, teammates, and family,” she said. “I am thankful for each of them and their impact on my life.”
In the classroom, there have been a number of teachers that have influenced Morgan, but she has one in particular that played a bigger role.
“I think my favorite teacher would have to be Mr. Nix,” she said. “He was constantly getting me involved within ffa and making sure I was the best I could be.”
When she steps out on the court to compete, Morgan is ready to face whoever is on the other side. She does have one group of opponents that she enjoys beating the most.
“My favorite team to beat is any private school,” Dolezal said. “Mainly because they get to play all year around. The highlight moment of my career so far was finishing in second place at the Class 6A tennis tournament.”
