Hi, what are you looking for?

Perry

Perry’s Treg Bowman – Wrestling Spotlight – Presented by Stillwater Medical Clinic of Perry

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?

Treg: Kaleb Owen, we have been wrestling for a long time together. Seeing how hard he works to be a two-time state champ.

VYPE: When and how did you first get into playing your sport?

Treg: I have been competing since I was about six years old and my family were all big into wrestling. I went out for it and never really looked back. Growing up watching my cousin wrestled and my uncle coach, I have always been in the sport.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?

Treg: The community, everyone talks to me, even if I didn’t know them. They will always cheer me on in my sport.

VYPE: Who inspires you?

Treg: Coach Rupp, everyday he expects the best of me and pushes me in practice to expand my limits.

VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?

Treg: Winning my state semifinals match, after I got a point to win looking up in the stands to see all my teammates and fans jumping around yelling was a feeling I will never forget.

VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?

Treg: I would go to a lake to fish and hangout with Thatcher Colon and Andrew Kukuk. Us three have been on trips together and made some valuable memories.

VYPE: What is your all-time favorite meal?

Treg: My favorite meal would be our Mexican restaurant in Perry. It’s a family owned called La Macarena

VYPE: Are you involved in any other activities?

Treg: Student Council, Leadership, Gifted and Talented, FCA Perry.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Treg: I would have to pick my mom because no matter where or what she is there to support me. Over the summer she gave up time to drive me around to camps. She would sit in the stands and good or bad, she would tell me good job and she loves me.
