Hi, what are you looking for?

Perry

Q&A with Perry’s Emily Frable – Presented By Cushing Family Practice-Stillwater Medical

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?

Emily: This sport pushes me to be the best I can be. Cheer comes with having to be a good person and putting an example out for your school.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?

Emily: The seniors from my freshman year – Hadlee, Emma and Destiny. This was the year after the pandemic, so it was very touch and go. They kept the whole team motivated and positive all through our season.

VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?

Emily: It definitely has to be the night we found out that we won regionals. That has never been done at Perry, so knowing that we were the first made it 10 times better.

VYPE: What is the best advice that anyone has given you?

Emily: “Don’t trip on what’s behind you.” Our regionals didn’t go as planned but going into the state tournament, we knew that what happened at regionals didn’t matter anymore.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?

Emily: I have gotten a lot of confidence from cheering, and that’s something that I carry with me every day.

VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?

Emily: I love the bond that comes with being a part of a team. It’s almost like having a built-in family. Some of the bonds you make with the girls on the team will last a lifetime.

VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade and why?

Emily: Coach Pralle has become my favorite over the last year. She has really pushed me to try and be the best I can be at the sports I play but also to be a good person.

VYPE: What has been your favorite part about representing your school as an athlete?

Emily: Knowing that you are representing your high school makes you work harder to be a better person and student. It’s all in your hands on how you want your school to be viewed.

VYPE: Here is your chance to give a shoutout or say thank you to anyone you wish.

Emily: All my teammates throughout the years and my coach. My coach, Jeana Browne, has been coaching me since the third grade, so she has made a huge impact on me!
