VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use daily?
Holden: To keep a positive attitude even though some days it isn’t gonna go your way.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about being on a team?
Holden: Winning, having fun, and being able to experience wins and losses together.
VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Holden: My grandpa and dad inspired me to start playing and I look forward to playing it for the rest of my life.
VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you?
Holden: Jake Thomas. Even though we are teammates, we are also competitors. He always encourages me to do my best and helps when he can see I need help, even though he knows we are still competing against each other.
VYPE: What is your favorite part about representing your high school as an athlete?
Holden: Honoring my school in the most respectful way I can through hardworking and dedication.
VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
Holden: Getting my first ever hole out for an eagle.
VYPE: Who is your favorite teacher from any grade?
Holden: Coach Rupp was my seventh grade science teacher. He made class fun even though I wasn’t into science.
VYPE: Who inspires you?
Holden: My dad because he pushes me when I don’t want to do things and encourages me through all the hard work. When I struggle with things and he has believed in me enough that makes me believe in myself more.
VYPE: You can pick any place for a summer vacation, where do you go and who do you take with you?
Holden: Go play Pebble Beach with my brothers and my dad. Sorry mom, it’s a boys’ trip.
