Stillwater’s Jade Gosney – Athlete Spotlight – Presented by: Stillwater Family Care

Jade Gosney, a talented senior from Stillwater High School who excels in both volleyball and golf, showcases her versatility and dedication on the court and the green. As a setter and right-side player in volleyball, Gosney’s skills and leadership have been crucial to her team’s success. When asked about her motivation, she credits her team and coaches. “They push me every day to be my best,” Gosney said.

Off the field, Gosney draws inspiration from her parents, who are her biggest influence. Their unwavering support and encouragement have played a vital role in shaping her into the dedicated and determined athlete she is today.

Academically, Gosney credits her outstanding teachers at Stillwater High School, pushing her to excel in the classroom. Her commitment to academics and sports culminated in her team’s victory as the 6A Academic State Champions in volleyball last year, a remarkable achievement that highlights her dedication both on and off the court.

When it comes to the game, Gosney emphasizes the importance of putting in extra work, being mentally and physically tough, and having supportive teammates. Her highlight moment in her career came when she and her team won the JV COAC Championship last year, an accomplishment that brought her immense pride and joy.

For Gosney and her team, every victory is important as they strive to achieve their goal of winning the COAC conference. The bond she has with her teammates is something she holds dear. “I can’t just choose one person,” Gosney said. “I love all of my teammates, and we push each other daily to be the best we can.”

Gosney is actively involved in various school activities, such as the Beta club and SMAC, showcasing her commitment to her school community. 

As a senior, Gosney takes great pride in representing her school and community as a Stillwater Pioneer. Her dedication to her team, her studies and her community exemplify the true spirit of a student-athlete. As she looks forward to the future, Gosney plans to attend college and pursue a career in the healthcare field.
