Ponca City’s Kelli Northcutt: Mom Spotlight – Presented by The Ponca City Real Estate Co.

Kelli Northcutt is a graduate of Jenks High School. And while she did not compete in any sports, she attended and watched many sporting events with her dad. Now that she has children of her own, she makes sure that she is there for her kids and shows her support for them.

“I try to attend as many of my kids’ scrimmages, tournaments and games as possible,” she said.”I love supporting them and love watching them play. I know the time with them at home and in sports is short and I don’t want to miss a minute of it! I want my kids to know that I’m in their corner and will be there for them win or lose, good game or bad. There’s always something that can be learned from a game, whether you played your best or not. I want my kids to always be able to look in the stands and see me there supporting them.”

Northcutt and her husband have two children. Jackson is a senior that plays basketball and golf. He is planning to attend the University of Oklahoma next year. Jenna is a sophomore and she plays volleyball and basketball.

When she is not cheering on her children, Kelli is the Executive Director for the Community Health Foundation of Kay County. They have a scholarship program for students pursuing a degree in healthcare, and they provide grants for organizations in Kay County working to improve health and we sponsor and provide community health education. When she has free time, family time is what Northcutt really enjoys.

“I spend most of my free time going to my kids’ sporting events and I wouldn’t have it any other way,” she stated. “We also love to go to OU football and basketball games. We love to travel as a family as well and we are trying to go to all 50 states, we only have 10 to go.”

Kelli also volunteers around the school. She is a member of the volleyball booster club, where she has been treasurer for two years. She is also a member of the basketball booster club.

“My husband and I have chaired a fundraising pulled pork dinner for basketball for two years. He is a competitive barbeque cook.”
