2022 Shelter Insurance Miss Softball Oklahoma – September Flanagan, Morrison High School

Morrison High School’s September Flanagan is the 2022 Shelter Insurance Miss Softball Oklahoma award winner. Flanagan posted incredible numbers this season while leading Morrison to the Class 2A state championship.

On the season, Flanagan batted .437 with 53 hits, 9 homeruns and 39 RBIs. The senior hit 16 doubles and three triples. She accounted for 48 runs and as an infielder Flanagan held a fielding percentage of .976.

Flanagan is committed to play softball at the University of Kansas next fall. Morrison head coach Jared Freeman said Flanagan is a great leader on and off the field for Morrison.

“September deserves so much credit for bringing home another state championship to Morrison this season, she was a phenomenal leader on and off the field. She has always played the game with a quiet confidence, and was clutch for this team, whether it be with timely hits or amazing defensive plays, she always rose to the challenge of playing the best teams in the state. I was blessed to have had the opportunity to be her coach the past four years! I know that September will continue to make this program and community proud next year at the University of Kansas,” said coach Freeman.

Flanagan joins previous Miss Softball Oklahoma winners, Kenzie Donihoo of Mustang (2018), Chloe Bohuslavicky of Piedmont (2019), Grace Anderson of Tishomingo (2020), and Gabby Higbee of Dewey (2021).

The other finalist this year included Allyssa Parker of Pocola, Jayden Anderson and Cheyenne Wood of Tishomingo, Leah McAnally of Edmond Memorial, Logan Pickelsimer of Mustang, Kayla Adams of Jenks, Monica Franklin of Union, and Erica Shertz of Fairland.

Congratulations to September Flanagan of Morrison High School on winning the 2022 Shelter Insurance Miss Softball Oklahoma award.
