Stillwater Area Players to Watch, Underclassmen to Watch, and Unsung Heroes – Presented by Stillwater Family Care

PLAYERS TO WATCH 

SOFTBALL 

Kallie Rupp – Morrison 

Rupp has worked hard to become the athlete that she is today. She is an outstanding player on the team and will be a key player this season. 

Charlsi Lieb – Pawnee 

Charlsi will be a junior this year. She is a two-year starter. She will be the number one pitcher this year and had the highest batting average in 2022. Charlsi is a hard worker and never quits. 

Ashley Larson – Perkins-Tryon 

Ashley has been the team’s pitcher for the past three years and has won over seventy games. She is a threat on the mound and at the plate. She is a solid long ball hitter also. 

Kaylee Linsenmeyer – Stillwater 

An all-around athlete that will provide solid, tremendous defense and a spark at the plate. A college softball-bound athlete. 

UNDERCLASSMEN TO WATCH 

FOOTBALL 

Brody Bailey – Morrison 

He started at linebacker all season as a freshman and will be counted on to set the defensive front. 

Luke Mitchell – Pawnee 

Luke will be replacing his older brother at quarterback. He is a very hard worker and very passionate about football. 

Braiton Applegate – Perkins-Tryon 

Braiton will be a 10th grader and he will play running back and outside linebacker. Last 

year as a freshman, he had 54 carries, 254 yards, and four touchdowns. He will have the opportunity to start as a linebacker this year. 

Whelan Carson – Perry 

A great kid that started every game as a freshman at wide receiver and linebacker. Last season, he had 124 tackles and an interception return for a TD. He is a solid student in the classroom too. 

Tan Booth – Stillwater 

Tan is a great young player that will play a key role defensively. He has a great feel for the game and a strong will to be a great player. 

Logan Britton – Yale 

As a freshman, Logan started in all eleven games on the offensive line. He has won medals at Power Lifting meets and has the potential to be a dominant player and a big prospect in the near future. 

SOFTBALL 

Aleigh Tucker – Morrison 

Aleigh is a very talented incoming freshman who plays multiple positions and gives the team a lot of flexibility defensively. She was on the little league World Series champion 

team this past year and plays the game hard. 

Jasline Howell – Pawnee 

Jasline will be a freshman this year. She is long and athletic. She is a competitor and will be a solid hitter. She plays shortstop and third base. 

Madi Kastl – Perkins-Tryon 

She has great speed and plays solid on defense. She also has a powerful bat. 

Audrina Herber – Stillwater 

A right-handed pitcher with a lot of potential. As an incoming freshman she is already throwing 63 plus MPH. 

UNSUNG HEROES 

SOFTBALL 

Robin Moorman – Morrison 

Robin is a sophomore who can play anywhere on the field, get bunts down, move runners, and do anything else the team needs. 

Jill Scott – Pawnee 

Jill has been a two-year starter at catcher. She plays every game at catcher and makes all the right plays. Jill is a tough player and was the most improved player on the 2022 team. 

Taylor Stanley – Perkins-Tryon 

Stanley is an outstanding catcher with a great arm. She also is solid when batting as well. 

Lorelei Holt – Stillwater 

A teen mom who has risen from a tough situation and has learned to manage school, a job, an infant, and now softball. After taking a year off from softball she is back being everyone’s number one fan and the ultimate leader.
