Stillwater’s Landri Allee – Athlete Spotlight Presented by Jeff Bryant, Shelter Insurance

By Derrick Smith

All athletes at all levels have a moment or a few moments that stand out as their favorite or one that is special to them. Landri Allee has a moment like that but hers was because of an impact she had on a big game.

“The highlight of my career so far is from one of my games when I scored a hat trick to help my team win finals in a tournament,” she said. “I will always remember how I felt coming off the field after that game. Truly one of the best feelings. I even got to bring home the trophy from that tournament.”

Allee is a freshman at Stillwater High School where she plays soccer for the Lady Pioneers. She mainly plays wing, but she sometimes plays outside back or center mid. She started playing soccer when she was six-years old and has grown and improved to where she is now.

Over the years, Allee has had a lot of people that she could look up to. But she says that there are two special people that have helped her become not only the athlete, but also the person she is today.

“A big influence in my life is my mom,” she said. “She shows me what hard work looks like. When she puts her mind to something, she is determined to accomplish it. She also has helped make me who I am today along with my dad. Without my parents, I would not be where I am today.”

Being good at a sport or sports takes more than just showing up on game day to play. There is a lot of behind the scenes work that goes into it.

“For me to be successful in my sport, it has taken hard work,” she said. “There is also a lot of time and commitment that goes into it.”

Allee also plays for 06 ECNL for Oklahoma Energy FC, a club team in Edmond. Sports is a big part of her life and she is ready to get this soccer season underway.

Away from sports, Allee is the vice president of the ninth-grade student council.

“I am really excited to play my first year of varsity soccer this year,” she stated. “My goal is to graduate from high school and play college soccer.”
