Pawnee’s Emoree Fields – Basketball Spotlight – Presented by Ortho Oklahoma

VYPE: Why are you passionate about your sport?
Emoree: I am passionate about basketball because it makes me feel good to be on the court and helps with my mental health.

VYPE: What has your sport taught you that you use in your daily life?
Emoree: Basketball has taught me to communicate better with others.

VYPE: What is your favorite thing about being on a team?
Emoree: My favorite thing about being on a team is the friendships that I have gained.
VYPE: Who was your favorite teacher growing up (from any grade) and why?
Emoree: My favorite teacher was 3rd grade Mr. Torres because he gave me the best advice and always told me that I was going to be a good athlete.

VYPE: Who inspires you and why?
Emoree: My mom and older sister inspire me the most because they are hardworking and always tell me to do my best no matter what and they give me the best life advice.

VYPE: What teammate has left the biggest impression on you and why?
Emoree: My cousin and teammate Kinley, being able to play with her makes the season special and exciting.

VYPE: What is the best advice you have ever gotten?
Emoree: “There is no such thing as can’t.”

Emoree: I would like to say thank you to all my coaches and teammates that have pushed me through the years that I’ve played.

VYPE: What has been your favorite memory of playing?
Emoree: My favorite memory of playing basketball is getting to play with my cousin and being coached by my uncle.
