As a student-athlete at Perkins-Tryon High School, Dylan Davison is a member of the varsity football team in his final year of prep football.

“Being a student-athlete in Perkins is amazing. The community and teachers are always very supportive on and off the field and it feels like a family environment all the time. Growing up I played a lot of travel basketball and I started playing football in fifth grade. I started kicking and punting in seventh grade and that’s when I really started to take football serious,” said Davidson.

As he alluded to, Davidson is the kicker for the Demons and his passion for the game and the position has him considering it as a future career.

“I enjoy being on the football team because of the family environment and all the time you get to spend together with your friends and going to battle with them on Friday nights. I want to be a special teams coordinator at any university that will give me a chance,” said Davidson. “I love the mentality of this team. We are not okay with just being average and we are chasing perfection in every rep in games and in practice.”
Davidson was quick to talk about his teammates and how much they contribute to the overall success of the team.

“My teammates are all really athletic and talented but some of the top ones would be my friend Cutter Greene who is one of the hardest workers I know and will go play at the next level. Tre Stevenson, Beckham smith and Hagen Cundiff are tough players all around and will be a key part in our team’s success,” said Davidson. “This season I’m most excited to get out on the field for the last time getting to represent PT. I also hope I get the chance and can make the longest field goal is Perkins history.”
